A gas alarm is designed for indoor use in dry rooms where a gas leak may occur. It's important to be able to hear the signal clearly in case of an alarm.
Detecting natural gas
To detect natural gas, you need to install the alarm 15-30 cm below the ceiling, no more than 6 meters away from your stove or gas appliance. Make sure that you have a power outlet for the adapter within 2 metres of the place where you want to install your alarm.
To detect LPG, you need to install the alarm 15-30 cm above the floor, no more than 4 meters away from your stove or gas appliance. Recommended locations are kitchens, garages, caravans and motor homes.
